Person robs Chase bank on Indy's north side

INDIANAPOLIS – A bank was robbed on Indianapolis’ north side Friday afternoon and police are searching for a suspect.

Officers said a black male, believed to be 20-25 years old robbed a Chase bank at 1313 W. 86th St. shortly before 1:40 p.m.

Employees said the suspect implied he had a gun and made a written demand for cash to the bank teller. The teller then handed him an undetermined amount of money.

The man ran south from the bank. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a person 6 feet tall with a slender build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, sunglasses and a black baseball cap.
