INDIANAPOLIS – An SUV crashed into a home on Indianapolis' west side Wednesday afternoon.
Indianapolis police arrived on the scene in the 2800 block of Fredonia Road shortly after 4:30 p.m. to find an SUV crashed into the side of a home.
Officers said 45-year-old Brian Purtlebaugh was looking for a home address when his 1995 Black Chevy Tahoe made an unusual noise.
He said the vehicle drove through a fence and into the house.
One of the homeowners, Shirley Crumley, 65, said she was watching TV with her dogs when the incident happened.
"My son had just walked out the front door to get the mail and all of a sudden I heard a big crash and then everything started coming into the living room," she said.
Crumley and Purtlebaugh were not hurt, according to police.
Firefighters said the crash caused $25,000 in estimated damages.
