BEECH GROVE—A 16-year-old boy has died following a shooting early Sunday in Beech Grove.
His death is the seventh weekend murder in Marion County, with six in the jurisdiction of Indianapolis police.
The Beech Grove Police Department says it was called to the 400 block of Grovewood Drive just after 3 a.m., Sunday.
The victim was pulled from a burning vehicle after being shot.
An 18-year-old and a 16-year-old told police they were riding with the victim when a number of shots were fired at them.
The vehicle crashed into a ditch and caught fire.
The two passengers were not hurt.
Police have arrested one 16-year-old suspect in the murder and are looking for a second suspect.
