MUNCIE, Ind. -- A child pornography investigation on Ball State University's campus netted a third arrest this week – but campus police aren't saying they're related.
Robert Yadon, a former professor of information and communications sciences at Ball State, was arrested Monday on charges of possession of child pornography. He was barred from campus June 21 as the result of a joint investigation between campus police and the Indiana State Police Cyber Crime Unit.
Yadon's arrest marks the third Ball State employee arrested on child porn charges this year.

In May, math instructor Brian K. Siebenaler was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography following a review of the school's computer network. Siebenaler had worked for Ball State since 1992.

That same network review led to child pornography charges in April against maintenance supervisor Randal R. Schmidt, who was suspended from his job and barred from campus. Schmidt had worked at Ball State for 20 years.
Despite the close proximity of the arrests, Ball State Police Chief James Duchkam said authorities have "no information to suggest that these incidents are related."
“The university has in place strong security measures to protect the integrity of our technology system, which include routinely scanning the use of information systems,” Duckham said. “When traffic patterns suggest that information security, integrity, or performance has been compromised, we investigate. These enhanced measures enabled us to discover and further examine the conduct in all three of these matters.”
