The dinner party of your dreams
The much-anticipated Yelp White Night at Circle City Industrial Complex (normally held on Monument Circle but venue changed due to weather) is Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Put on your jazziest all-white outfit and enjoy food, complimentary beer, wine and more. Some of the businesses featured are Oliver Winery, Tinker Coffee Co., Tastings – A wine experience, Pearings Café, Nicey Treat and more. You’ll be also be entertained by musicians from the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra

Fresh from the garden
Get your hands dirty as you learn to create healthy meals at the vegetarian cooking class at The Good Earth store in Broad Ripple. The two-hour class Sunday at 6:30 p.m. will help you prepare an appetizer, main dish and dessert that are sure to be a hit at your next family function. What’s on the menu? Cashew zucchini hummus and raw corn chowder in addition to surprise raw food recipes. The class is very interactive so be sure to come with questions and in return you’ll gain lots of nutritional information. Tickets are $20 per person and class participants will receive a 10 percent discount on any purchases made after the class.

If you’ve got an eye for vintage pieces, you’re going to want to make a stop in Shelbyville for Nostalgia on 9’s Vintage Outdoor Flea Market Extravaganza. The Saturday event will host more than 65 outdoor vendors in addition to the market’s 75 vendors inside. You’ll spot salvaged and repurposed items, antiques, housewares, tools, garden supplies, toys, clothing and more.

Family friendly
Join the people of Midtown as they celebrate the summer season at the annual St. Thomas Aquinas SausageFest this Friday and Saturday. This free event is open to all and will highlight Kincaid’s Meat Market sausages and Sun King beer. There will be inflatables for the kids along with face painting and games. New this year is the teen party. Teens will get a chance to have their own fun during a concert performance by School of Rock. Those over 21 can visit the wine garden while snacking on sausages, gourmet sides and a variety of desserts.

Get Xtreme!
Not much of a runner? Maybe this bouncy 5K using 12 inflatable obstacles will help you complete your goal. The XtremeAIR 5K is a race that will keep you laughing and sweating as you make your way to the finish line on Saturday. If you’re able to conquer the enormous inflatable mountain, you’ll be rewarded by sliding your way all the way to the bottom. You’ll also be able to duck and dodge your way through the Guantlet Obstacle with 10 more to spare. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon at White River State Park and tickets are $55 in advance, $65 the day of the race and $25 for children.

Unwind with a glass…or two
Take some time away from the kids and unwind with a glass of wine or beer while enjoying local entertainment. More than 40 wineries, breweries, restaurants and food trucks are participating in this year’s WAMMfest Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Craig Park in Greenwood. The event is hosted by Sertoma Club of Greenwood and will feature one-of-a-kind photography, jewelry paintings, award-winning beers and ales.
