Thousands without power in Central Indiana due to high wind gusts

INDIANAPOLIS — At least 12,000 people do not have power Sunday morning due to high wind gusts in Central Indiana.

As of 5:30 p.m., at least 7,600 Indianapolis Power and Light Company customers did not have power. You can view the latest IPL power outages and restoration times here.

About 2,000 Duke Energy customers did not have power as of 5:30 p.m. For the latest information on a power restoration time, visit Duke Energy's outage website.

About 3,000 Indiana Michigan Power customers did not have power near Muncie. You can view the latest power outages and restoration times online.

IPL wants to remind people to stay away from downed power lines.
