Three arrested after robbery, police chase

GREENFIELD, Ind. – Greenfield Police arrested three people after they allegedly robbed a Walgreens and crashed into two parked cars after police chased their getaway car.

Police responded to the Walgreens at 1195 North State Street for a call of a robbery Saturday morning.

One of the suspects allegedly stole prescription drugs from the pharmacy and got into the backseat of a car.

Police saw the car in the 1900 block of North State Street. The driver did not stop for police and drove northbound on I-70 to westbound I-70 and exited at Post Road.

The car then crashed into two parked cars at 39th Street and 39th Place. The driver was pinned in the car and was transported to Eskenazi Hospital with minor injuries.

The two passengers ran from the scene and were found by police officers near the crash site.

The driver was identified as Kaiwon Clay, 19, of Indianapolis. The front seat passenger was identified as Anthony Morris of Indianapolis. The backseat passenger is a 15-year-old from Indianapolis.

Police did not say what charges, if any, they could face.
