TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. -- A missing Tippecanoe County teacher was hospitalized Tuesday following a search at a pond near her home.

Woodland Elementary School teacher Krista Perdue, 42, was reported missing by her husband after she disappeared Monday morning.

Sam Perdue told police his wife had been feeling sick on Sunday and stayed in bed all day. He checked on her Monday, only to find her gone, with her wallet, credit cards and driver's license all left behind.

Investigators said Perdue had been found shortly after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday and transported to a nearby hospital.
