LAFAYETTE — A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle and killed Wednesday in Lafayette.
According to a report from Lafayette police, the crash happened around 6:38 p.m. Wednesday on South Creasy Lane near the intersection with Creasy Court.
Investigators from the Lafayette Police Accident Reconstruction Team determined a bicyclist was riding north on Creasy Lane when the cyclist was struck from behind by a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Silverado, John Roller, 87, of West Lafayette, was not injured.
The bicyclist is identified as Donald Stair, 56, of Lafayette.
Police said there is no indication Roller was impaired at the time of the crash.
