Morgan said she put Shaylyn to bed around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in her crib in the living room.
"We went to bed, and we woke up and she was gone," Morgan said. "She cannot get out of her baby bed, and she cannot get out of the house."

Morgan said at the time of Shaylyn's disappearance, the front door was unlocked.
"The front door was unlocked, because we just don't ever lock the door," she said. We don't have a reason to lock the door. I've lived in Spencer all my life and, you know, we just don't lock doors here."
Justin Ammerman said he's heard nothing from police about the search for his daughter.
"Really I feel like crap right now," he said. "This has never happened to me. This is my first child. I don't know who in their right mind would want to go and take a little girl."
Stewart begged whoever knows where her daughter is to return her safely.
"Please bring her home," she said. "She needs her mom."
Shaylyn was last seen wearing a white zip-up sleeper with owls on it. She also had a clip-on blue pacifier. She could have a Winnie the Pooh blanket with her.
Indiana State Police had three active search parties ongoing. They had also served search warrants on various houses and vehicles.
As of Thursday morning, an Amber Alert hadn't been issued for Shaylyn.
