Want to make plans? Here are RTV6's top six things to do this Fourth of July weekend.

There's the Independence Day musical spectacular on Friday, July 1 at White River State Park.

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will perform favorites including 'God Bless America' and the '1812 Overture.'

Or if you love a parade, how about Anderson and the Anderson Independence Parade on July 3?

Just bring your patriotic spirit and stay for the fireworks afterward.

Speaking of fireworks, one of the biggest shows in central Indiana is the Donato's Downtown Freedom Blast.

The festival is at the Indiana War Memorial, but if you're downtown, you'll likely catch the fireworks show.

Carmel Fest starts Sunday and runs through July fourth.

Parades, music, food.. and free bike parking.

Franklin's Firecracker Festival is Sunday night in the middle of downtown Franklin.

But the best thing to do on a holiday weekend might be hanging out in your own backyard.

Whatever you choose, make it a safe Independence Day celebration.
