If you’re like me, you’ve been cooped up inside the past few days because of the cold. Unfortunately, more cold weather is on the way – BUT bundle up and get out of the house this weekend because there is plenty to do.
Fantastic Food Fest
When: January 16-17
Where: Indiana State Fairgrounds, Champions Pavilion
Foodies, rejoice! The Fantastic Food Fest features hundreds of food exhibitors, cooking demos, tastings, workshops, book signings and appearances by TV food personalities and other celebrities. 10,000 people are expected to attend the event. And for good reason -- you will get to explore the latest cooking trends, learn techniques and recipes, and taste lots of delicious food and drinks.
General admission tickets are $15.00. Two day tickets are $25.00 and VIP tickets are $55.00. For more information, click here.
Chili Bowl Weekend Racing Collectible Show
When: January 15-16
Where: Clarion Waterfront Hotel located at 2930 Waterfront Parkway West Drive
The Chili Bowl Weekend Racing Collectible Show will be hosting racing collectors from all over the Midwest. There will be about 70 tables at the show featuring Indy 500 memorabilia and other collector must-have items.
Tickets are $5 a person. Children 12 and under are free. A preview of the show runs Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The show runs Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Polar Bear Pedal
When: January 16
Where: City Market, 222 E. Market Street
The annual winter bike ride includes bike safety information, children's bike helmets, door prizes, and snacks. Free t-shirts will be provided to the first 200 participants.
Registration for the ride is at 9:00 a.m. The race starts at 10:00 a.m.
Indy 1500 Gun and Knife Show
When: January 15-17
Where: Indiana State Fairgrounds, South Pavilion
Organizers say the show is the one of the largest gun and knife shows east of the Mississippi. The show features guns, knives, military arms, sporting arms and door prizes.

JAMfest Cheer Super Nationals
When: January 16-17
Where: Indiana Convention Center
400 teams have attended the competition in the past. The teams come from 30 states and two countries. The event has been held in Indianapolis since 1999.

Bop to the Top
When: January 16
Where: OneAmerica Tower
Bop to the Top, an annual stair climb at the OneAmerica Tower, benefits Riley Hospital for Children. The stair climb has raised more than $500,000 in the past for the hospital. If you have not registered yet, you can register the day of the race.
