INDIANAPOLIS – Ready to pass the chili? You can sample or enter your own creation this weekend during the neighborhood cook-off or find your favorite bourbon at the Indiana Historical Society.

Date Night Pop-Up

Indianapolis Art Center – 820 E. 67 Street

Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.

The official Valentine’s Day holiday may be over, but if you didn’t get the opportunity to celebrate, here’s your chance. Date night art classes include goody bags, snacks and a chance to win raffle prizes. Singles are welcome.

Circle City Donut Dash 5K

Teachers’ Treasures – 1800 E. 10th Street

Feb. 18 at 9 a.m.

It’s being called the tastiest 5K Indy has to offer. Walk or run the race, but whatever you do, don’t forget to watch (or participate) in the Donut Challenge – a 5K where participants must consume a dozen delicious donuts at the halfway point.

Indy's Premier Bourbon Affair

Indiana Historical Society – 450 W. Ohio Street

Feb. 17 at 6:30 p.m.

Big bourbon fan? Then you’re definitely not going to want to miss your chance to sip spirits all night long while learning about the distilling process. You’ll also get the chance to bring home a few rare bottles for your collection during the silent auction.

Black Violin

Feb. 18 at 8 p.m.

String duo Wil Baptiste and Kev Marcus – known as Black Violin - will perform a series of classic music and hip-hop by viola and violin. The two have played for the White House, troops in Iraq, Aerosmith, Aretha Franklin and other artists.

2nd Annual Clay Terrace Winter Blast

Clay Terrace – 14390 Clay Terrace Blvd.

Feb. 18 at 11 a.m.

You’ll get to enjoy shopping specials and your kids will love the train rides and face paintings at the Winter Blast. The event will also include carriage rides, ice sculptures, balloon artists, the Pacers Fan Van and more.

Bates-Hendricks 2017 Chili Cook-Off

The Bureau – 719 Virginia Avenue

Feb. 18 at 11:30 a.m.

Join the Bates-Hendricks Neighborhood Association for their annual chili cook-off. A $10 ticket allows you to enter your own creation and taste other chili entries. Guest judge of the event will be Karen E. Laine of HGTV’s “Good Bones.”
