Mutt Strut

Indianapolis Motor Speedway – 4790 W. 16th Street

Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

You and your furry friend are invited to participate in the Mutt Strut, a walk around the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway track. All proceeds from the charitable event benefit the Humane Society of Indianapolis.

Indy VegFest

The Pavilion at Pan Am – 201 South Capital Avenue

Saturday at noon

Get introduced to some of the city’s vegan and vegetarian restaurants during the free Indy VegFest. The event will include local food vendors, fitness classes, kid’s activities, food samples and more.

Lemonade Day: Lemonpalooza

Monument Circle

Saturday at 11 a.m.

Teams from Angie’s List and Salesforce will compete to see who can sell the most cups of lemonade to help raise money for Lemonade Day Indianapolis, a program that teaches children entrepreneurial skills.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Military Park – 601 West New York Street

Saturday at 9 a.m.

Join thousands of walkers and runners help fight to end breast cancer during Race for the Cure. The fundraising event includes a 5K, family walk, a kid’s race and tribute to breast cancer survivors.

Indy Free Tree

Monument Circle

Friday at 11 a.m.

In honor of Arbor Day, Indianapolis Power & Light will hand out 1,000 free trees on Monument Circle. Those who grab their tree in enough time – while they last – can also enjoy free pizza.

Cyclegiving with Child Advocates

CYCLEBAR -  6010 W. 86th Street, Suite 130

Saturday at 2 p.m.

Work up a sweat and provide for the children of Child Advocates during their CYCLEBAR fundraiser. Proceeds from the one-hour indoor cycling class will “cover expenses such as fees for camps, sports, prom dresses, art classes, prescription glasses and other experiences and supplies that help provide a sense of hope and normalcy to an abused child.”

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to make loaves of Italian bread from scratch. Instructors will all teach kneading, proofing, shaping and baking skills.
