INDIANAPOLIS -- Some cities offer special attractions like amusement park rides and sunny beaches. Here in Indianapolis, Hoosiers and visitors get events like ghost hunts and a cash bars at the children's museum.

Here are your top six things to do this weekend in Indianapolis:

Museum by Moonlight

Saturday at 8 p.m.

Thinking of heading to the children’s museum this weekend? You’ll want to leave the kids at home this time for Moonlight at the Museum. This 21 and older event will feature five floors of exhibits, a cash bar and food samples.

Bookworm? Here’s your chance to discover a new book and meet the authors behind them at the Circle City Author Fair. The bookstore, Maleah Solange Books supports some of the city’s independent authors.

Party with a purpose at the Pardi Gras Ball. The event hosted by the city’s young professional community, will allow you the chance to slip on your best attire to raise money for the Bloom Project Inc.

In recognition of Black History Month, the event will offer attendees the opportunity to try a variety of comfort foods and vote on their favorites. Dishes will be prepared by the students of the center's culinary arts program.

Overnight Ghost Investigation

The Athenaeum

Saturday at 11 p.m.

Fans of crime and ghost hunting shows will truly enjoy this one. For one night only you can experience the ghosts of the historic Athenaeum during an overnight ghost investigation. Attendees are welcome to bring cameras, voice recorders and other items they may need to “catch some ghosts.”
