INDIANAPOLIS – The weather may be getting a little chilly, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t tons of activities to get you out of the house.
Grab your sweatshirts and scarves and head downtown to enjoy some fun and festive fall activities.
Here are your top six things to do this weekend in Indianapolis:
1. Join the birthday bash
Whose birthday is it? Indiana’s birthday. The state turns 200 years old this year and the Indiana State Museum invites you to their Indiana Spirits: Bicentennial Birthday Bash this Saturday from 7-1:30 p.m. The third annual event has beer, wine and spirit tastings, live music and food from local restaurants. You’ll have the chance to make your own party hat, take photos at the festival photo booth and more. Two of the museum’s bicentennial exhibitions will be open during the event. All attendees must be 21 years old or older.

2. Get some air time
The Colts may be in London this week, but the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is where the real action is happening. The Red Bull Air Race World Championships will take place Saturday from 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. An air race sounds fun, but not really sure how it works? Pilots will compete on an aerial racetrack while trying to achieve the fastest possible time without gaining penalties. Tickets range between $40- $50 and packages are available.
