INDIANAPOLIS -- This weekend might turn out to be one of your more lazy ones with the increased amount of rainfall, but you'll have opportunities for fun too. We have some events that require you to leave your home - while others require only a quick selfie or two.

Here are your top six things to do in Indianapolis this weekend: 

500 Food & Fashion Fridays

Every Friday in May

Get dressed in your best black and white race-inspired attire each Friday in May to celebrate the 101 running of the Indy 500. You are then invited to snap a selfie and post it on social media using the hashtag, #500FashionFridays.

2017 First Friday Food Truck Festival

Old National Centre – 502 N. New Jersey Street

Friday from 5-9 p.m.

The First Friday Food Truck Festival will return for the seventh year with more than 30 food trucks. The event will also include games and family activities.

Indy 500 Porch Parties Kickoff

Harrison Center for the Arts – 1505 N. Delaware Street

Friday at 6 p.m.

In honor of the upcoming Indy 500 race, the Harrison Center for the Arts and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway encourage the community to host porch parties – a time for neighbors to come together and enjoy one another’s company. The kickoff event will include live music, race-themed activities and giveaways.

OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon

Downtown Indy

Saturday at 7:30 a.m.

Thousands of runners will be led through the streets of Indianapolis and along the Indianapolis Motor Speedway track before crossing the finish line at this year’s mini marathon.

Irvington Community Yard Sale

Irvington Historic District

Saturday from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. (Rain date: May 7)

More than 100 homes in the Irvington neighborhood will hold yard sales offering the chance for you to find a new treasure. Some of the participating homes plan to donate all funds to charity.

Indy Eleven Craft Beer Fest

Michael A. Carroll Stadium at IUPUI – 901 W. New York Street

Saturday at 5 p.m.

For the fourth year, Indy Eleven will host Craft Brew Night featuring 11 local breweries. Guests will receive a commemorative Indy Eleven cup and have the chance to sample beers before the team plays FC Edmonton.
