AVON — It's official — Costco Wholesale is coming to Avon.
The Town of Avon made the announcement Thursday on its Facebook page.
According to the town, the 160,000 square-foot facility will be located at the northwest corner of U.S. Highway 36 and County Road 900 East.
The town said in the post that representatives from Costco have been working with the town's Planning Department to finalize a construction plan for the past few months. The company plans to break ground soon with a targeted opening this fall.
The new store will have an estimated 130 local jobs, the town said.
