ANDERSON, Ind. -- A truck and freight train collided in Anderson Wednesday morning.
The crash happened just before 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of 14th Street and Fairview Street.
According to the Anderson Police Department, a man driving an SUV was late for work and tried to beat the train. The SUV was hit right behind the driver side door and was destroyed.

The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with minor aches and pains.
