MORGANTOWN, Ind. – An RV was hit by an oncoming train as it tried to cross tracks in Morgantown.
The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office says the collision happened around 12:30 p.m. Saturday on State Road 135 north of Morgantown. The RV was towing an enclosed trailer when it tried to cross the tracks ahead of the train, which was traveling toward Brown County. Officers say the driver of the RV mistimed the arrival of the train.
The train came to a stop after traveling another 150-200 yards. The driver of the RV and two passengers were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
