INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indiana State Police trooper is recovering after a crash on Indianapolis’ west side on Saturday.
It happened just after noon near the intersection of Taft Street and Washington Street.
State police say Trooper Nathan Parton was responding to a domestic battery case with his emergency lights activated when a car ignored his lights and went through the intersection, hitting the side of his cruiser.
Trooper Parton was taken to Eskenazi Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver not injured but was cited for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
