AVON — The railroad bridge over Raceway Road on the Indianapolis-Avon line is over 100-years-old. When it was built, the area was countryside. The bridge was adequate for its time. Not anymore.
Wednesday afternoon, a box truck that was a bit too tall, became stuck while being driven under the bridge. It's happened before.
North and southbound traffic was backed up while the truck was removed.
The Avon Police Department reported no injuries.
