INDIANAPOLIS -- The National Weather Service says preliminary data shows seven tornadoes touched down in Indiana Monday night.
The NWS classified the tornado in Brownsburg as an EF-1, which means it had winds of at least 86 miles per hour and not more than 100 miles per hour.
Tornadoes in Clayton and Battleground were weaker, classified as EF-0, with winds of at least 65 miles per hour and not more than 85 miles per hour.
The total count as of Tuesday afternoon was three EF-0's, three EF-1's and one EF-2.
