WHITESTOWN — Two people were seriously injured in a suspected head-on crash near Whitestown early Sunday.
According to a report from the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 6800 block of Albert S. White Drive around 7:13 a.m. Sunday on report of a rollover crash.
Police said when officers arrived, they found one driver walking around near the crash site and the second driver was trapped in their vehicle. The drivers were the only occupants of the two vehicles, police said.
Firefighters from the Whitestown Fire Department and the Zionsville Fire Department extricated the driver of the second vehicle. Both drivers were taken to area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Police said alcohol is considered a contributing factor to the crash.
Police are withholding the identities of the drivers because of the ongoing investigation.
The Boone County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team is investigating the crash.
