INDIANAPOLIS – A person was shot and killed on the northeast side Wednesday – the second fatal shooting in Indianapolis in one hour.

The shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. on the 3400 block of Sherman  Drive – an area of the city that has seen at least eight other fatal shootings so far this year.

Police arrived to find Michael Johnson, 29, fatally shot.

Police arrested 27-year-old James Holder and preliminarily charged him with murder. Detectives think he shot Johnson after Johnson robbed him.

No other details were immediately available.
