INDIANAPOLIS — Two people were shot and killed early Saturday morning outside a west side strip club.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, two people were shot at Club Venus, located at 3535 W. 16th St.

Just after 1 a.m., IMPD was dispatched on reports of a person shot outside the club. When they arrived, officers found two people who were declared dead at the scene.

William Walker, 23, and Charles Reeves II, 42, were killed in the incident, Marion County Deputy Coroner Alfie Ballew said.

This is not the first time in recent history IMPD has been called to Club Venus.

In September 2018, a 23-year-old was shot in the club's parking lot and in April 2018, a person walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot after being shot at Club Venus.

In August 2017, two people were shot in the parking lot, and two more were shot inside the club in June 2017.

Anyone with information about Saturday morning's shooting is asked to call the IMPD Homicide Office at 317-327-3475 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
