SOUTHPORT, Ind. -- Two Southport police officers were injured when their police SUV clipped the island median, hit a pickup truck and rolled.
One of the officers was a field training officer, the other was a trainee.
They were trying to catch up to another vehicle for a traffic violation near US 31 and County Line Road when the crash happened.
The jaws of life were used to cut the officers out, but they are in stable condition at the hospital.
