INDIANAPOLIS -- A University of Indianapolis graduate was shot last Saturday in Park Forest, Illinois.
Tim Jones studied Criminal Justice at UIndy and had been serving on the police force in Park Forest for less than a year.
While investigating a break-in, police say a suspect opened fire and Jones was hit. He suffered a traumatic brain injury.
Jones' former football coach and others are now doing what they can to support Jones and his family.
