WASHINGTON, D.C. -- During a reception at the White House for the members of the Indiana Fraternal Order of Police, Vice President Mike Pence met with the families of Howard County Deputy Carl Koontz and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer Rod Bradway.
During the visit, Deputy Koontz’s son, Noah, presented the vice president with a challenge coin honoring his father.

Noah also got a “close” look at President Theodore Roosevelt’s desk while he was visiting, according to Pence.

The families were in Washington D.C. to honor their fallen loved ones at the Police Officers Memorial Service for Police Week.
