INDIANAPOLIS — To recognize Patriot Day and commemorate the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the Indiana National Guard held a moment of silence, playing of Taps and folding of the American Flag at the Indiana National Guard Headquarters Stout Field.

"The lives of those who were lost will never be forgotten." Said Air Force Maj. Randi Bougere, the Director of Public Affairs for the Indiana National Guard. "It's because of them that the Indiana National Guard continues to remain vigilant and ready to meet any future challenge."

"Today we honor the memories of the souls we lost on September 11, 2001, and pay tribute to all of their patriots and their families who have sacrificed their lives in defense of freedom."
