INDIANAPOLIS – With this week's heat advisory comes a stern warning: Do not leave your dog outside in this weather.
Thanks to an ordinance passed in Indy last year, if it’s over 90 degrees, it’s illegal to leave your pet outside alone.
Indianapolis Animal Care & Control is in charge of saving any animals that get forgotten, so we tagged along with an officer Thursday as she responded to a call of a dog left outside.
Watch our video to see exactly what happened: It may be enough for you to reconsider leaving your dog out too long.
