JACKSON COUNTY — A water rescue in southern Indiana turned into an arrest Tuesday.

Jackson County Sheriff Rick Meyer said Deputy Christopher Hubbard found a driver stranded in high water on North County Road 700 East.

Crews rescued the driver, but it turned out the man was wanted in Michigan and deputies arrested him.

Meyer said the message is don't drive through high water. And if you're wanted, definitely don't drive through high water.
