SPEEDWAY, Ind. -- A busy intersection in the town of Speedway will soon be the home of a new construction site as improvements are made.
The 90-day project is scheduled to begin September 6, at 16th Street and Lynhurst Drive. Crews will put in new overhead signals and improve turn lanes and curbs.
A new turn lane will also be added from southbound Lynhurst to eastbound 16th Street.
While work is dependent on the weather, town officials hope work will be completed by the middle of November.
