INDIANAPOLIS — People were disappointed Sunday night that Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center had to cancel and postpone the Luke Bryan concert.

It was canceled due to weather. But some concert-goers say it was a mess trying to seek shelter from the storm.

They wish they were given more time to find rides home or have a better plan in place to find safety.

"They wanted us to walk to the Uber Lot," Chelsea Erickson, who went to the concert, said. "There was lightning. A home had been struck by lightning in Carmel it was burning to the ground. No one wanted to be out in the lightning or walking in that weather. So, the fact that there was no plan in place…"

Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center management sent RTV6 a statement saying, in part:

"All of our guests were able to leave the venue safely last evening. We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation, including the guests, the band, and their crew... As well as the team that helps to keep everyone safe, as that is always our first priority."

RTV6 asked what the emergency evacuation weather plan is for Ruoff, but officials there wouldn't give us any more details.

The concert is rescheduled for October 11.
