SHELBYVILLE, Ind. -- A pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing I-74 Monday evening.
Officers were called to the scene near the 109 mile marker just after 8:30 p.m. after a man was hit by a vehicle.
That man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian was still on the scene when officers arrived.
The accident remains under investigation by the Shelby County Sheriff's Department.
