WHITE COUNTY, Ind. -- One person is dead and a second person injured in an accident involving two semis in White County.
The crash happened just after 7 a.m. on I-65 near the 201 mile marker.
Indiana State Police investigators say a yellow 2017 Volvo tractor pulling an enclosed trailer full of peaches was stopped for traffic when a second Volvo tractor driven by David Williamson, 59, of North Carolina, failed to stop and slammed into the back of him.
Williamson was pronounced dead at the scene by the White County Coroner.
The second driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The collision caused a large amount of damage to both vehicles and spilled the contents of their trailers all over the roadway.
I-65 was closed for several hours for clean up.
