NOBLESVILLE — Call it a Christmas present for the people of Hamilton County. The Logan Street Bridge over the White River in Noblesville has reopened.

It closed in October of last year for a $4.5 million rehabilitation and improvement project.

Besides a new roadway, the bridge has been widened with sidewalks, making it possible to walk from downtown Noblesville across the White River to the River Walk and Federal Hill Park.

According to the Hamilton County Highway Department, some "incidental work" still needs to be done, but the bridge is open.
