BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. -- A woman was arrested after police say she attacked them because she couldn't pass through a blocked road.

Tuesday evening, deputies with the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department were investigating a hit-and-run crash near the intersection of Aspen Road and Brush Creek in Columbus, Indiana. The woman tried to drive down the blocked road at around 10 p.m.

When she was unable to drive that way, police say she became upset and began attacking the deputies.

The woman, Barbara Kennedy, 47, was arrested and preliminarily charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and battery on a police officer.
