INDIANAPOLIS -- A woman was found dead Thursday morning inside an abandoned home on the near-east side.
The Marion County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as Yolanda Williams, 38.
IMPD officers arrived at the home on the 400 block of Jefferson Avenue just after 8:00 a.m. Thursday.

Inside the home officers found Williams' body. Neighbors told RTV6 she was discovered inside a closet in the residence.
Police were investigating the death as a possible homicide.

An autopsy was scheduled for Friday.
No other details were immediately released.
The woman's death is the third homicide in 24 hours in Indianapolis.
On Wednesday, two men were shot and killed in separate shootings within an hour of each other on the east side. Police arrested a suspect in one of those shootings.
