INDIANAPOLIS — A woman is in serious condition after a house fire Monday afternoon on the west side.
The Wayne Township Fire Department said three dogs died in the fire in the 4700 block of Melrose Avenue and a fourth named Nika was taken to Noah's Animal Hospital in serious condition for treatment.
Fire department crews brought the fire under control in 15 minutes, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
