MADISON COUNTY, Ind. -- A woman was killed early Monday morning when her car went off the road in Madison County and ended up in a creek.
The Madison County Sheriff says the 33-year-old Angela Surber of Elwood, Indiana, was headed west on CR 900 N from State Road 13/37.
Sometime between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., Surber's vehicle went through a guard rail where SR13/37 dead ends and continued into Pipe Creek.
The vehicle flipped over and was submerged in the creek.
The sheriff says the cause of the accident is unknown at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
