Woman raises money through Christmas lights

INDIANAPOLIS -- After collecting beer cans to raise money and help benefit schools, Mary Stumpp collected used Christmas lights and recycled them to donate to IPS.

Just more than 2,900 pounds of Christmas lights were donated to Stumpp, and were recycled at a rate of 15 cents per pound, equating to $438 to the schools. 

Last year, Stumpp recycled 500,000 cans from Sun King Brewery and festivals across Indianapolis –- getting local schools $18,000 as a result.
