A woman was struck and killed in the overnight hours between Monday night and Tuesday morning in Hamilton County.
She was hit by a box-like truck and trailer on State Road 37 near 135th Street.
The driver told police she appeared in the middle of the road and was walking across SR 37.
"The driver did all the right things," Indiana State Police Sergeant Tom Weger said. "He stopped immediately, called 911, and is cooperating with the investigation."
The woman's identity has not been released by authorities.
