INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis woman is walking across the city to stand up against crime and promote peace.

Floretta Westley has volunteered for many causes over the last 60 years, but this one has her pushing past her personal pain to prevent pain for other families.

Westley suffers from heart failure, kidney failure, diabetes and high blood pressure.

"I should have been gone but the Lord is keeping me here so I can help other children and other people," said Westley.

She also has arthritis which makes it hard for her to walk or stand for long periods of time, but Westley is adamant about joining the Ten Point Coalition to help make Indianapolis safer for future generations.
