Woof! Marion County Sheriff's Office sniffs out help in naming new K-9 pup-in-training

Posted

INDIANAPOLIS – From time to time, we turn to the general public when local law enforcement needs your help with something.

And we’re doing that now, but it’s for a much more warm-and-fuzzy reason than usual.

Hoosier? Boomer? Borker? The list goes on and on, and the Marion County Sheriff's Office wants all your ideas for its newest pooch-on-patrol.

Once he has completed his training, the young dog is slated to become the newest bomb-sniffing dog working in the City-County Building in downtown Indy.

Top Dog and Sheriff John Layton will choose the winning name.
