INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles no longer requires people moving to the state to pass a written driving test.

According to a release from the BMV, new residents who have a valid driver's license only have to pass a vision test after a new law went into effect July 1.

New residents still must provide documents proving their identity, which include a Social Security number, lawful status in the United States and Indiana residency.
