INDIANAPOLIS — If you're looking for something fun and free to do this weekend, how about a little fishing?

Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2 are the final Free Fishing Days for 2019.

During "Free Fishing Days" Indiana residents can fish public waters without a fishing license or a trout stamp. Children ages 17 and younger do not need a license on any day.

A number of Free Fishing Day events are also being held at state parks across the state including several Family Learn to Fish workshops. All events run from 9 a.m. to noon. Advance registration is required.

Specific information about all Free Fishing Day events can be found online at the Indiana Department of Natural Resources website.
