INDIANAPOLIS — The weather is getting warmer, and it's time to start planning outdoor activities for the summer.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources announced its four Free Fishing Days for the year. On May 3, June 6, June 7 and Sept. 26, Indiana residents can fish public waters without a fishing license or a trout stamp.
Children ages 17 and younger do not need a license on any day.
DNR will also host multiple Learn to Fish workshops around the state.

- May 16: Learn to Fish with Lures, Indianapolis
- May 23: Family Learn to Fish, Fort Harrison State Park
- June 5: Learn to Camp & Fish, Potato Creek State Park
- June 6 -: Family Learn to Fish, Seymour
- June 6: Family Learn to Fish, Terre Haute
- June 7: Family Learn to Fish, Prophetstown State Park
- June 13: Women’s Learn to Fish, Potato Creek State Park
- June 20: Women’s Learn to Fish with Lures, Potato Creek State Park
- June 27: Women’s Learn to Kayak Fish, Potato Creek State Park
