ZIONSVILLE, Ind. -- Two teens were rescued after being stranded in the water at Creekside Park in Zionsville Thursday afternoon.

The Zionsville Fire Department was called out to the park at 4:22 p.m. after the teens, who had been floating down the creek on rafts, were overcome by the swift-moving waters.

The teens became trapped in a downed tree in the water about 14 feet from the shore.

Fire crews were able to send out personal flotation devices and set up a ladder and boat that allowed the teens to make it to shore just before 5:00 p.m.

Neither teen was seriously injured in the incident.
