INDIANAPOLIS — All thanks to a woman who happened just to be walking by a west side home, firefighters were able to rescue pets trapped in a house fire.
The Wayne Township Fire Department says Jacqueline Lambert was walking by a home on Iris Avenue near Rockville Road when she noticed a house on fire. Firefighters rushed to the scene and ended up rescuing a chihuahua named Bambi and two turtles.
Jaqueline even watched over Bambi until the owners arrived back home.
